WHAT YOU LEAVE WITH

Decisions your team can act on.

The engagement is organized around useful outcomes and written recommendations. Your proposal identifies the deliverables for your situation.

01

Product scope & roadmap

Define who the product serves, prioritize the first release, sequence dependencies, and turn the direction into an actionable backlog.

02

Architecture & tech stack

Compare platform, data, hosting, and integration options. Document the tradeoffs so your team understands why the recommendation fits.

03

Team organization

Clarify responsibilities and technical ownership. Identify capability gaps, hiring priorities, or contractor support needed for the roadmap.

04

Engineering practices

Establish useful planning, code review, testing, release, and documentation practices. Mentor the team through the decisions where experienced guidance helps.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

Start where the uncertainty is.

You can hire me before development starts or while an existing team is building. The work can stay advisory, support your engineers, or lead into a separately scoped build.

  1. 01

    Understand the product and team.

Discuss the goals, current systems, people, budget, and decisions that are slowing progress.

  2. 02

    Agree on the engagement.

Choose a focused assessment, a team-and-stack setup engagement, or ongoing advisory. Define deliverables, the hourly rate, and an initial hour budget.

  3. 03

    Work through the decisions.

Review the product and architecture, collaborate with your team, and write down the recommendations and responsibilities.

  4. 04

    Put the plan into use.

Hand off the roadmap and working practices. Agree on any follow-up reviews, mentoring, or implementation support.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before we begin.

Can you work with our existing developers?

Yes. I can help organize architecture decisions, responsibilities, priorities, and delivery practices around the team you already have. The aim is a plan they can use and guidance that helps them make progress.

Can you help before we hire the team?

Yes. We can define the first release, recommend the stack and architecture, and identify the capabilities and roles needed to build it. That gives hiring and contractor decisions a clearer basis.

Do we need to hire Fizzy Pop to build the product?

No. Consulting can be a standalone engagement, and the agreed recommendations and handoff are intended for your team to use. Any development work is proposed and priced separately.

What work counts toward the hourly budget?

Client meetings, agreed preparation, research and technical review, written recommendations, team sessions, and requested follow-up can all count. We identify the work and initial budget first, with additional hours agreed before exceeding it.

Can we meet locally?

I’m based in Chagrin Falls and work with clients in Cleveland, Bainbridge Township, and Northeast Ohio. We can arrange local meetings at a mutually agreed location or collaborate remotely. Any travel arrangements are discussed with the scope.
